This cozy double wrap cowl is knit from end to end using 3 skeins (600 meters) Manos del Uruguay Maxima and 4.50 mm needles. Pattern is simple and uses different sized panels of stockinette and reverse stockinette stitches. Just knit to desired length and join. Pictured cowl is 13 inches wide by 62 inches around. You will need to block your knitting to open up the panels. Enjoy!

Materials
600 meters Manos del Uruguay Maxima or equivalent yarn
4.50 mm needles

Gauge (not crucial)
20 stitches = 4″ across

Measurements
approximately 13″ x 62″ around after blocking

Abbreviations
K = Knit
P = Purl
SL1 = slip one stitch

Instructions

Using 4.50mm needles, cast on 67 stitches.
Row 1: SL1, K3, P7, K10, P10, K20, P13, K3
Row 2: SL1, P2, K13, P20, K10, P10, K7, P4

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 to desired length.
Cast off. Join (graft) ends together. Blocking is recommended.

    When you Sl1 on row 1 are you slipping it knitwise and then purlwise on row 2?
